Slane Castle, Castle and music venue in Slane, Ireland
The fortified residence stands on a hill beside the River Boyne, featuring Gothic architecture with four connected circular towers in each corner.
After the Fleming family lost their property in 1688, the Conynghams rebuilt the castle in 1785, creating the current Neo-Gothic structure.
The castle meadow transforms into a natural amphitheater where performances by U2, Queen, and Rolling Stones have drawn crowds of 80,000 people.
The castle offers guided tours through its rooms, gardens, and distillery, with options to book private events and wedding celebrations.
Inside the 250-year-old stable buildings, Slane Distillery produces whiskey using water from the Boyne River and local ingredients.
