Charlemont House, Georgian mansion in Parnell Square, Dublin, Ireland.
The three-story stone building features five bays with curved screen walls, niches, balustrades, and ornamental obelisks at its entrance.
William Chambers designed the mansion in 1763 for James Caulfeild, first Earl of Charlemont, who collected art and maintained connections with European cultural circles.
The building transformed from a private residence to the Hugh Lane Dublin City Gallery in 1933, displaying modern and contemporary art collections.
The structure contains three floors over a basement, constructed with granite and Portland stone, maintaining its position north of Parnell Square.
The Earl's private library held rare manuscripts, scientific writings, and Hogarth engravings, considered the finest collection in Ireland until its sale.
