Menahem Begin Park, Urban park in Tel Aviv, Israel
Menahem Begin Park is a large green space in southern Tel Aviv featuring two artificial lakes, wide walking and cycling paths, and open grassy areas. Visitors can walk along the waterfront, rent bicycles, and relax in various zones throughout the grounds.
The park was created in 1988 following a design by architect Zvi Dekel and named after Menahem Begin, Israel's sixth Prime Minister. This project was part of Tel Aviv's expansion and development of its southern districts.
The park is a gathering place where people walk, cycle, and picnic with friends and family. Various outdoor activities and regular events happen here throughout the year, creating a focal point for the surrounding community.
The park is accessible by bus lines 16 and 204 or Israel Railways, with free parking available on-site. Bicycle rentals are offered, making it easy to explore the extensive pathways and shorelines.
One of the two lakes features a cable wakeboarding system where visitors can try water sports activities. This unusual recreational facility is a rare feature found in urban parks.
