King Abdullah Bridge, Concrete border bridge in West Bank, Israel and Jordan.
The King Abdullah Bridge spans across the Jordan River, connecting the territories of West Bank and Jordan through a steel and concrete structure.
The bridge, inaugurated in 1955, remained operational until 1967 when the Harel Brigade partially destroyed it during the Six-Day War.
The structure bears the name of Abdullah I of Jordan and represents a physical connection point between Palestinian and Jordanian communities.
Located 5 kilometers southeast of Jericho and 4 kilometers south of Allenby Bridge, this crossing point currently stands inoperative.
The bridge's position along Highway 1 and Road 40 would enable a 45-minute drive between Jerusalem and Amman if reconstructed.
