Hathras district is an administrative region within Aligarh division in northern Uttar Pradesh. The area is organized into four administrative subdivisions that encompass villages and smaller towns.
The district was formed in 1997 by combining areas from neighboring administrative regions. It was initially known by a different name until being renamed in 2012.
The population communicates primarily in Hindi and the regional Braj dialect, maintaining traditional festivals and social gatherings throughout the district.
Several railway stations connect the district to larger cities and help with travel within and beyond the region. The best time to visit is outside the hottest months when the weather is more pleasant.
The district maintains a population density of 850 inhabitants per square kilometer, with a literacy rate of 71.6 percent recorded in the 2011 census.
