Paliwal Park, Public park in Civil Lines, Agra, India
Paliwal Park is a public park in central Agra with a small lake at its center and open green spaces throughout. The grounds feature walking paths and shaded areas created by trees that give the park a mixed garden-like character.
The park was originally known as Hewitt Park during the British colonial period in India. It was renamed later to honor a prominent figure in the early government of Uttar Pradesh.
St. John Library within the park maintains an extensive collection of books, serving the educational needs of nearby university students.
The park is open daily and allows visitors to walk, jog, and enjoy boat rides on the lake. A main road runs through the middle, which helps connect different neighborhoods but creates some traffic noise in parts.
A central motorable road divides the park while connecting residential areas of Vijay Nagar and Gandhi Nagar to the financial district of Sanjay Place.
