Agroha Dham

Agroha Dham, Hindu temple complex in Hisar district, India

Agroha Dham is a temple complex with three main sections dedicated to Goddess Mahalaxmi, Maharaja Agrasen, and Goddess Saraswati. At the center sits a water pool that holds water from 41 different rivers across India.

The site originates from ancient times and is connected to the legendary Maharaja Agrasen, who is said to have established the settlement after the major wars of ancient mythology. Excavations have uncovered artifacts from early Indian civilization that confirm the long history of this location.

The temple holds deep meaning for the Agarwal community, who gather here to observe their spiritual traditions and celebrations. On festival days, visitors experience shared prayers and communal meals that express the faith and values of the local people.

The site is open daily and offers visitors various accommodation options for stays of different lengths. Religious ceremonies take place regularly throughout the day, so visitors can plan their visits based on when they wish to participate.

A striking statue of Hanuman stands in the complex, rising to about 90 feet in height and commanding attention through its scale. The grounds also display scenes of Krishna stories alongside shrines dedicated to other deities, bringing together different strands of Hindu practice in one place.
