Shirui National Park

The park encompasses mountainous terrain at 1700 meters elevation with dense tropical forests in lower areas and temperate forests in higher regions.

The Indian government established this protected area in 1982 to safeguard the local ecosystem and preserve the indigenous Shirui lily species.

Local communities near the park maintain traditional practices connected to the natural resources and medicinal plants found within its boundaries.

Visitors can reach the park through Ukhrul town, with the period from November to March offering optimal conditions for wildlife observation.

The park contains the natural habitat of the Shirui lily, which grows exclusively in this region and holds status as Manipur's state flower.
