The Anna Centenary Library spans nine floors across 333,140 square feet and maintains a collection of 600,000 books in multiple languages.
The Tamil Nadu government opened this library on September 15, 2010, marking the 102nd birth anniversary of former Chief Minister C N Annadurai.
The library includes dedicated sections for Tamil literature, children's books, international publications, and materials for visually impaired readers.
The facility operates from 8 AM to 8 PM daily with specialized reading areas, conference halls, and parking space for 420 cars.
This institution received the LEED NC Gold rating in 2010, becoming the first library building in Asia to achieve this certification.
