Ramanujan IT City, Information technology special economic zone in Tharamani, India.
Ramanujan IT City is a special economic zone in Tharamani comprising four office towers arranged around central courtyards. The complex provides 4.5 million square feet of workspace with buildings reaching 60 meters in height.
Construction started in December 2008 with demolition and excavation work, followed by main structural work beginning in June 2009. The zone was developed to strengthen Chennai's position as a technology hub.
The buildings are named after mathematicians who influenced Srinivasa Ramanujan: Hardy, Carr, Neville, Cambridge, and Littlewood. Walking through the complex, you notice these names on the towers, connecting the space to scientific history.
The site is located opposite Thiruvanmiyur MRTS Railway Station for convenient access. Employees and visitors have access to five levels of car parking plus three basement levels.
The complex includes 100 serviced apartments from Taj Vivanta and a convention center seating 1,500 people. These facilities transform it into a self-contained workspace and business travel destination.
