Dash n Splash, Water and amusement park in Mevallur Kuppam, Chennai, India.
Dash n Splash was a 21-acre complex featuring multiple water slides, wave pools, traditional rides, and a lazy river alongside the Telugu Ganga Project Canal. The layout allowed visitors to move between water-based and land-based attractions throughout the day.
The park opened in 1995 as the first dedicated water park in South India. Its inauguration by actor Suriya marked an important moment for recreational development in the region.
The park brought a new kind of entertainment to Tamil Nadu families, combining water activities with rides in a place designed for leisure. It became a destination where people gathered to cool off and spend time together in an organized recreational setting.
The park sits 30 kilometers (19 miles) from Chennai along the Bangalore National Highway and is reachable by car or bus. Visitors will find locker facilities and lifeguards stationed at major water attractions for safety.
The park operated an artificial rainfall system for temperature control that activated during hot days. This unusual feature helped visitors stay cool while enjoying the attractions and walking around the grounds.
