Gujarat Solar Park is a large power complex that operates solar installations across multiple sites in the state, using open arid lands for energy generation. The facilities are distributed strategically to capture sunlight across different areas and produce electricity efficiently.

Gujarat Solar Park grew out of a 2009 memorandum between the Gujarat government and the Clinton Climate Initiative, which helped find equipment makers and international finance while the state provided land and infrastructure. Completion was certified on 19 April 2012 for 605 MW, and 856.81 MW was finished by the end of March 2013. The Charanka park near Charanka village in Patan district was built on a 2,000-hectare plot and has drawn investments of Rs 5,365 crore.

The park's name covers 30 solar plants of 1 MW to 500 MW spread across Gujarat, with Charanka in Patan district the best known. Gujarat was the first Indian state to create a dedicated department for climate change and renewable energy, and the parks are its most visible mark on the landscape.

The park lies in northern Gujarat, and the flat, dry terrain means little shade, so plan around midday heat.
