Golden Beach, Private beach in Injambakkam, Chennai, India
Golden Beach extends along the Bay of Bengal with a 2-kilometer stretch of sand within the VGP Universal Kingdom entertainment complex.
The beach became part of Chennai's coastal development during the expansion of tourism facilities along the East Coast Road in the late 20th century.
The beach hosts regular gatherings where local fishermen demonstrate traditional Tamil Nadu fishing methods and prepare regional seafood specialties.
Visitors can access the beach daily from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM on weekdays and 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM on weekends with entry fees of 150 INR for adults.
The beach integrates natural coastal elements with amusement park attractions, including roller coasters and an aquarium within the same complex.
