The temple was built after 2000 once the movement acquired land in Injambakkam. ISKCON has been present in Chennai since the early 1970s.
The temple design incorporates Pallava and Kalinga architectural elements, with marble flooring depicting Hindu universes centered around Mount Meru according to Vedic cosmology.
The sanctuary opens in the morning and afternoon, with evening rituals continuing until around 9 PM. Visitors can enter the grounds and join the ceremonies during these periods.
The floor design displays cosmological representations based on Vedic scriptures. The center also offers philosophy courses rooted in ancient Indian texts.
