Raj Bhavan, also called Lok Bhavan, is the official residence of the governor of Uttarakhand in Dehradun, one of two Raj Bhavans in the state alongside Nainital. The 1902 building, formerly the Court House, stands at 2,305 feet above sea level within a 160-acre wooded campus of lawns, a bonsai garden and varied flower species.

Built in 1902 as the Court House, the building was often used by the Governor of the United Provinces during visits to Dehradun. After Uttarakhand was created, the Raj Bhavan was first set up at Bijapur House on New Cantt Road; the Circuit House was then re-designated as Raj Bhavan, and Surjit Singh Barnala, the state's first governor, moved in on 25 December 2000. The governor's secretariat and auditorium were inaugurated on 27 July 2009 by B. L. Joshi, and Margaret Alva opened the governor's official residence on the campus on 14 April 2010.

The building was known as Court House until it was re-designated Raj Bhavan, and the first governor, Surjit Singh Barnala, moved in on 25 December 2000. Its auditorium now hosts oath-taking ceremonies, seminars, book releases and cultural programmes. The 160-acre wooded campus around it holds varied plant and bird species, lawns, a bonsai garden and many flower species.

The complex sits at about 2,305 feet above sea level on a 160-acre wooded campus in Dehradun, so allow time to move between the lawns, bonsai garden and flower beds. The Governor's Secretariat and auditorium buildings were inaugurated on 27 July 2009 by Governor B. L. Joshi, and the Governor's residential quarters on 14 April 2010 by Margaret Alva. The old residence now serves as the Raj Bhavan guest house.

The Circuit House that became Raj Bhavan was built in 1902 as the Court House, where the British governor of the United Provinces often stayed during Dehradun visits. Jawaharlal Nehru lodged here on his trips to the city, and the building later housed almost every Indian prime minister and several presidents.
