Holy Family Catholic Church

Holy Family Catholic Church sits on Maulana Azad Road with a warm interior of wooden wall panels and contemporary lighting throughout. A wooden altar sculpture depicting the Last Supper forms the focal point of the sanctuary.

The building was founded in 1896 and once served as a cathedral until administrative operations moved to Jammu in 1986. Fire damaged the structure in 1967, but the community undertook its reconstruction.

The congregation uses this place regularly for worship and spiritual gatherings that welcome people from different faith backgrounds. It represents Christian community life in a region where followers of this faith are relatively few.

The church is centrally located and accessible during worship times throughout the week and on weekends. Visitors should dress respectfully when entering the interior space and plan their visit around regular service schedules.

After the building suffered major damage in 1967, it received a newly cast bell in 2017 from a local maker. This bell was a gift from an Indian Christian family and represents a symbol of renewal for the congregation.
