Koosalli Water Falls, Waterfall system in Karnataka, India
The Koosalli Water Falls cascade through six distinct levels, dropping from a total height of 470 feet in a deep forest near Byndoor taluk.
The waterfall stands as a natural monument in the Sharavathi Valley, located 300 kilometers from Bangalore, marking centuries of water flow through the Western Ghats.
Local residents maintain traditional practices of guiding visitors through rubber plantations and forest paths that lead to different vantage points of the falls.
Visitors need to trek for 5 kilometers from Koosalli village through forest terrain, requiring sturdy footwear and at least two hours of walking time.
The final cascade of the six-tiered waterfall reaches 150 feet in height, creating powerful water flows during monsoon season between June and September.
