Kanakachalapathi Temple, Kanakagiri

Kanakachalapathi Temple is a Hindu shrine featuring South Indian architectural style, distinguished by three tiered gateway towers above its entrances. The interior contains several spacious worship halls decorated with ornately carved pillars shaped like mythical lions.

The temple was constructed during the 1500s in the Vijayanagara period by a ruling family and was later designated as a protected monument by India's Archaeological Survey. Its design reflects architectural practices that were common in the region during that era.
