Jameh Mosque of Varamin

The mosque extends over 66 meters in length and 43 meters in width, with a central brick dome measuring 10.5 meters in diameter.

Construction started in 1322 under Sultan Mohammad Khodabaneh and completed during his son Abu Sa'id Bahadur Khan's rule, with additional restoration in 1413.

The mosque exhibits both Ilkhanid and Timurid architectural elements through its intricate geometric patterns, terracotta decorations, and elaborate plasterwork on the walls.

Located 42 kilometers south of Tehran at an elevation of 913 meters, the mosque remains an active religious center for the local Muslim community.

The structure features a sixteen-sided drum supporting the dome, with alternating windows and an octagonal base formed by four squinches.
