The construction of this sports venue started in 1997, reached completion in 2003, and underwent major renovations until its official reopening in November 2016.
The name of the stadium translates to 'Design of the World', connecting the modern structure to the Persian architectural traditions of Isfahan.
The stadium hosts domestic football league matches and international competitions as the home ground for Sepahan Football Club, located 4 kilometers from Isfahan center.
On April 24, 2023, the stadium recorded its highest attendance of 70,000 spectators during a match between Sepahan and Malavan.
