Crozzon di Brenta, Mountain peak in Brenta Group, Italy
Crozzon di Brenta is a peak in the Brenta Group with three distinct summits connected by a ridge. The main summit rises to approximately 3,135 meters and sits directly next to the neighboring peak of Cima Tosa.
The northeastern face became known in 1935 when mountaineers established the Via delle Guide through its steep walls. This route marked an important milestone in the climbing history of the region.
The mountain draws mountaineers who want to test themselves on technically demanding routes. This reflects climbing traditions that have been practiced in the Alps for generations.
Access is gained through Rifugio Brentei, located at about 2,182 meters and serving as a base for exploration. The best conditions for visits are between July and September, when weather is most stable.
The Canalone Neri is a roughly 900-meter channel that naturally separates the two neighboring summits. This dramatic rocky cleft is one of the most striking features of the mountain landscape and gives the area its distinctive character.
