Stadio Renato Curi, football stadium

Stadio Renato Curi is a football stadium in Perugia with a simple, functional design built from metal and concrete. The seating wraps around the green field, with the main grandstand covered for weather protection while the two curves and opposite stand remain open.

The stadium was built between May and October 1975, opening with a match between Perugia and Milan. It was renamed after Renato Curi, a midfielder who died during a match in 1977, honoring his memory and remaining a symbol of the local football tradition.

The stadium's name honors Renato Curi, a midfielder whose memory lives on in the hearts of supporters. Fans known as the Grifoni fill the Curva Nord section with red and white shirts and scarves, creating a strong sense of shared pride and belonging on match days.

The stadium is located in Pian di Massiano with good public transport access including buses and a nearby mini train station, plus parking available close by. Food vendors around the stadium sell affordable snacks and drinks that you can enjoy before or during the match.

The first Serie A goals scored here came shortly after opening by Franco Vannini, marking this place as a historic location in local football. The Italian national team played five official matches at the stadium, starting with their first in 1983 against Cyprus.
