Cala Sisine, Mediterranean cove in Baunei, Italy
The beach stretches 200 meters in length and 100 meters in width, featuring a mix of white sand and pebbles facing the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The cove, formerly known as Portu 'e Sisine, served as a landing point for coal cargo ships along the eastern coast of Sardinia.
The Codula Sisine valley extends inland from the beach, where a seasonal river flows from the Supramonte mountain range through ancient paths.
Visitors need to walk 2 kilometers from the parking area or take boat services from Cala Gonone and Santa Maria Navarrese for approximately 25 euros.
A freshwater pond sits behind the beach near restaurant Su Coile, providing natural rinse facilities for swimmers in this remote location.
