Cala Sisine

Cala Sisine is a cove on the eastern coast of Sardinia near Baunei, framed by tall limestone cliffs. The shoreline combines sand and pebbles that slope into clear turquoise waters.

The cove was once called Portu 'e Sisine and functioned as a landing point along this stretch of the island. The site lost its maritime importance as larger ports developed elsewhere.

The Codula Sisine valley extends inland from the beach, where a seasonal river flows from the Supramonte mountain range through ancient paths.

You can reach the cove on foot via a mountain trail or by boat from nearby coastal towns. The walking route takes time and offers little shade, so bring water and wear proper shoes.

Behind the beach sits a natural freshwater pond that swimmers use to rinse off salt water. This unusual feature makes spending time here more comfortable for visitors.
