The Church of San Lorenzo exhibits an octagonal structure transitioning from a square base to a Greek cross at the upper vaults.
Construction began in 1634 after Duke Emmanuel Philibert dedicated the church to commemorate the victory at the Battle of Saint-Quentin.
The interior features marble decorations, gilded details, and numerous frescoes representing religious narratives and symbols of the Savoy dynasty.
Located adjacent to the Royal Palace of Turin, the church maintains regular visiting hours and provides multilingual information panels.
The geometric dome contains eight intersecting arches creating an eight-pointed star pattern with windows that generate light and shadow effects.
