Cima d'Ambiez, Alpine summit in Trentino, Italy

Cima d'Ambiez is an alpine summit reaching 3,102 meters in the Brenta Dolomites, characterized by steep granite walls and vertical rock faces. These distinctive formations create varied climbing opportunities with different technical demands for mountaineers of all levels.

German mountaineers first reached the summit in 1880, marking an important point in the history of Alpine exploration during that era. From this early ascent onward, the peak developed into a significant destination for the growing Alpine climbing movement.

The mountain draws climbers from around the world and has become a meeting point for mountaineers seeking different types of challenges. The established routes here represent traditional alpine climbing practices that connect generations of visitors to the mountains.

A staffed mountain refuge at about 2,410 meters provides beds and meals for climbers during the warmer months of the year. The peak is best visited during stable weather conditions with proper equipment for high mountain activities.

The east wall of the summit is known for its exceptional rock quality and offers climbing routes across multiple difficulty grades. This variety allows a wide range of climbers to test and develop their skills in a single location.
