Monte Peglia

Monte Peglia is a mountain summit reaching 837 meters in Umbria, where forests cover slopes dotted with rural villages and farmsteads. Clear days reward hikers with views toward Orvieto and Corbara Lake.

The mountain holds a prehistoric site dating back roughly 700,000 years, counted among the earliest documented archaeological records in Italy. This ancient human presence reveals the region was inhabited in very early times.
