Trieste National Hall, Art Nouveau building in Trieste, Italy.
The Trieste National Hall features a grand facade with electric utilities and central heating systems designed by architect Max Fabiani in 1904.
The structure, completed in 1904, served as a central gathering point for the Slovene minority until Italian Fascist Blackshirts burned it down in 1920.
The National Hall contained multiple facilities including a Slovene theatre, hotel, restaurant, gymnasium, and spaces for numerous cultural associations.
Located at coordinates 45.653889, 13.776111, the building underwent extensive renovations between 1988 and 1990, transforming it into Hotel Regina.
The restoration project in 2010 returned the building to its original architectural specifications, preserving the historical design created by Max Fabiani.
