Trieste National Hall, Art Nouveau building in Trieste, Italy.

Trieste National Hall is an Art Nouveau building designed by Max Fabiani in 1904, notable for its elaborate facade and modern systems of the era. The structure originally housed a hotel, gymnasium, and multiple commercial spaces under one roof.

The building was completed in 1904 and became a central point for the Slovene minority community. In 1920, Italian Fascists attacked and severely damaged it during political tensions.

The building served as a hub for the Slovene community, hosting a theatre, restaurants, and cultural associations under one roof. People from the region gathered here for their own events and social activities.

The building underwent major renovation work in the late 1980s and was later converted into a hotel for guests. Visitors should be aware that some original features were altered during this modernization process.

The building was restored in 2010 according to Max Fabiani's original designs, returning it to its initial architectural appearance. This restoration work allowed the Art Nouveau design details and finishes to be carefully preserved.
