The Risorgimento Museum occupies the first floor of a building featuring a square tower with the Italian tricolor flag visible from surrounding areas.
The museum stands on the site of an 18th-century Austrian barracks where Italian patriot Guglielmo Oberdan faced execution in December 1882.
The museum exhibits letters, personal belongings, and portraits of Garibaldi's followers, along with frescoes by Carlo Sbisà depicting cities liberated after World War I.
Visitors need to make phone reservations for Tuesday visits by calling 040 675 4699, with the museum receiving over 10,000 visitors in 2019.
The memorial chamber maintains the original cell where Guglielmo Oberdan spent his final days, complemented by a monumental statue created by Attilio Selva.
