Rifugio Dodici Apostoli, Mountain refuge in Stenico, Italy
Rifugio Dodici Apostoli is a mountain hut located in the Brenta Dolomites at about 2,500 meters, surrounded by jagged limestone peaks. It provides dormitory rooms, meals, and serves as a base for various hiking routes through the alpine terrain.
The refuge was established in 1908, marking the early days of Alpine mountaineering development in the Trentino region. Its construction reflects the growing interest in exploring and climbing the Dolomite peaks during that era.

Twelve distinctive rock pinnacles visible from the mountain pass above the refuge inspired its name, resembling apostle silhouettes from that vantage point. This rock formation creates a striking visual pattern that can only be fully appreciated from this specific viewpoint.
