Chiesa dei Minoriti, Baroque church in Via Etnea, Catania, Italy

The church features a central nave with two aisles, distinguished by its white limestone facade against the black volcanic streets of Catania.

Following the 1693 earthquake destruction, the Minorites commissioned a new church building completed in 1750 under architect Francesco Battaglia's direction.

The main altar contains wooden stalls for monks and holds significant artworks, including an altarpiece depicting Saint Francesco Caracciolo and Archangel Michael.

Located at Via Etnea 81 in central Catania, the church remains open to visitors without entry fees and provides religious services.

The church dome, constructed between 1771 and 1787, features blue tiles that reflect sunlight through the interior space.
