Church of San Giacomo, Romanesque church in historic center of Trani, Italy.
The church features a portal adorned with two stone elephants supporting columns topped by carved figures of a griffin and a lion.
Initially known as Santa Maria de Russis, the church began construction in 1143 and underwent significant facade modifications following the 1647 earthquake.
The crypt previously stored statues used during the Good Friday Procession of Mysteries, organized by the Archconfraternity of the Most Holy Sacramento.
Located on Via Romito, the church contains a single nave with two altars from the second half of the 17th century.
The church's northern facade displays three tiers of brackets with detailed carvings depicting various human figures and animal representations.
