The former church features a facade with rounded arches from a 16th-century loggia and a central portal made of dark volcanic stone.
The Barbers' Congregation established this religious building in 1616, incorporating elements from previous structures that stood at the same location.
The main altar once displayed an altarpiece by Antonio Rimpatta, which originated from an earlier church demolished to make way for the Girolamini Complex.
Following a 40-year period of abandonment, the building reopened to the public in October 2020 after extensive renovations funded by European grants.
The church's facade maintains two original shops integrated into its side walls, reflecting the historical commercial nature of the Banchi Nuovi area.
