The Collegiata di San Martino extends over 2,000 square meters, featuring an external stone staircase that splits into four distinct branches.
First documented in 972, the church gained collegiate status in 1544, unifying six parishes under Bishop Alberico Giaquinto with support from Count Diomede III Carafa.
The interior displays 18th-century paintings, wooden statues, ancient Cerretese ceramic floors, and multiple altars constructed from polychrome marble.
The church stands as the largest religious building in the Diocese of Cerreto Sannita-Telese-Sant'Agata de' Goti, measuring 58.50 meters in length and 32.40 meters in width.
Royal engineer Giovanni Battista Manni designed the current structure after the 1688 earthquake, incorporating it into Count Marzio Carafa's new urban layout.
