Forte del Colle delle Finestre

Forte del Colle delle Finestre is a mountain fort located high in the Alps, constructed within a natural rock hollow to provide defensive positions. The structure includes gun emplacements and fortified walls designed to command the surrounding terrain.

Italian military engineers built the fort in 1891 as part of a comprehensive Alpine defense network. It remained operational until 1928 and reflected the mountain defense strategies of the late 19th century.
