Grande Traversata della Collina

The Grande Traversata della Collina extends for 65 kilometers through the hills of Turin, connecting Moncalieri's Le Vallere Park to the city of Chivasso.

The path passes near several medieval structures, including the Royal Castle of Moncalieri and continues toward the Superga Hermitage through ancient settlements.

Throughout the trail, hikers encounter traditional Piedmontese agricultural landscapes, local food producers, and regional wine-making establishments in small villages.

The trail features red-white-red markings, wooden signs, and includes both unpaved roads and short paved sections, with a total elevation gain of 1500 meters.

This hiking route intersects multiple regional nature parks, including Superga Hill and Bosco del Vaj, providing direct access to Turin's green belt system.
