Palazzo Patrizi

Palazzo Patrizi is a medieval palace in Siena featuring exposed brick walls on its main facade and Gothic architectural elements on its rear side. The interior contains halls with decorated ceilings and ornamental features that have been restored by the municipality.

The palace was home to the Patrizi noble family until the Renaissance, when they relocated to Rome and Naples. This departure marked a turning point as the family shifted their influence away from Siena to other Italian centers.

The Accademia degli Intronati has maintained its headquarters here since 1525, shaping Siena's intellectual life through discussions and cultural events. Visitors can sense how this academy continues to foster knowledge and artistic pursuits within these historic rooms.
