Brughiera sanctuary

The Nostra Signora della Brughiera sanctuary consists of two churches situated at an elevation of 800 meters in northern Italy's Biella region.

The sanctuary's original 14th-century structure served as a camp for Fra Dolcino followers before the construction of the current 16th-century smaller church.

The interior of the larger church displays numerous ex-votos, frescoes in the nave and presbytery, and a wooden pulpit with artistic significance.

The sanctuary remains open to visitors throughout the year and connects to other regional religious sites through the European paths network.

According to local records, on March 25, 1643, multiple gunshots were fired near the sanctuary without causing harm, an event attributed to divine protection.
