Immaginario Scientifico, Science and technology museum in Porto Vecchio district, Trieste, Italy
The Immaginario Scientifico spans 2,000 square meters across two levels, containing 100 interactive exhibits about motion, fluids, electrostatics, magnetism, sound, light, and mathematics.
The museum concept originated in 1985 during the planning of a science exhibition at La Villette in Paris and returned to Trieste in 1988 to establish this center.
The museum maintains partnerships with scientific organizations and local businesses, fostering collaboration between research institutions and educational initiatives in the Trieste region.
Laboratory spaces are divided into Officina for creative construction, Laboratorio ABC for research experiments, and Spazio per la mente for collaborative scientific discussions.
The Planetarium simulates celestial movements while the Imaginaire Scientifique section creates immersive experiences through scientific imagery and multimedia presentations.
