Fonte Nuova

Fonte Nuova is a Gothic fountain in Siena featuring three large arches and stone ornaments built on a rectangular foundation to deliver water to the Vallerozzi district. The structure displays the craftsmanship of medieval architecture through its pointed arches and solid masonry construction.

The fountain was built between 1296 and 1303 by architects Camaino di Crescentino and Sozzo Rustichini as a key water distribution project for Siena. This early infrastructure helped the city serve settlements beyond its walls.
