San Pellegrino alla Sapienza

San Pellegrino alla Sapienza is a Gothic church situated at the intersection of Via della Sapienza and Via delle Terme in central Siena. The interior features frescoes on the ceiling depicting scenes from Mary's life, and today it functions as an Orthodox place of worship.

A parish church dedicated to San Pellegrino has been documented at this location since around 1050. A hospital was established here in 1240, marking an important expansion of the site's role in the city's religious and social life.
