The Chiesa della Concezione a Materdei features three small side chapels separated by pilasters and contains a main altar attributed to Vaccaro's studio.
The church was founded in 1743 by Father Francesco Pepe, who established an educational institution for underprivileged young women alongside the religious building.
The church houses the tomb of Bishop Domenico Ventapane of Teano next to the main altar, and the underground burial site of the Duchy of Cassano.
The religious building remains closed to visitors since 2012 due to structural deterioration and safety concerns regarding its current condition.
A spire dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, created by architect Giuseppe Astarita, was relocated from the conservatory courtyard to Via Ugo Falcone.
