Bicknell Museum, Natural history and archaeological museum in Bordighera, Italy.
The museum building features a neo-medieval design with a rectangular plan, a porch entrance, and four Roman-inspired columns at its front.
Founded in 1888 by Clarence Bicknell, this institution became the first museum of western Liguria, dedicated to archaeological and botanical collections.
The museum library contains 85,000 volumes, 3,000 journals focused on art and local history, and 14,000 engravings documenting regional heritage.
The museum opens Monday from 8:30 to 17:00 with a midday break, and Tuesday through Wednesday from 9:00 to 13:00.
Two giant Ficus trees frame the museum grounds, with the largest reaching 21 meters in height and 8.6 meters in circumference.
