Spiaggia di Grotta del Saraceno is a sand and pebble beach along the Costa dei Trabocchi, marked by natural rock outcrops that rise from the water. Mediterranean shrubs and plants line the shore, creating a natural boundary between beach and surrounding landscape.

The Grotta del Saraceno takes its name from a cave in the rock face linked in local tradition to Saracen raids along this stretch of the Abruzzo coast. The beach lies on the Costa dei Trabocchi, the shoreline of Vasto in the province of Chieti, where fishing families long worked the water from wooden platforms built out over the rocks.

The beach lies on the Costa dei Trabocchi, named for the trabocchi, wooden fishing platforms on long arms that reach out over the water. These structures were built so nets could be lowered without boats, and several stand along this stretch of the Abruzzo coast near Vasto.

The beach offers rentals for umbrellas and sunbeds to make your visit more comfortable. A shuttle service links this location to nearby facilities and the adjacent sandy beach at Punta Penna.

The beach sits in the Province of Chieti, in Abruzzo, about 180 km east of Rome. Its climate is classified as mild, with an average annual temperature of 17 °C: July averages 30 °C, January 6 °C, and yearly rainfall reaches roughly 900 mm.
