Salara

Salara is an industrial building in Bologna's Cavaticcio Park, standing beside remnants of the city's ancient canal system. The 18th-century structure displays characteristic industrial design with brick facades and large, functional interior spaces.

The building was constructed in 1750 and served as a salt warehouse and inspection point for goods arriving in Bologna by water. It belongs to a period when water transport formed the backbone of the city's trade.
