Museo della Bilancia

The museum displays more than 200 measurement instruments and 650 additional objects related to the evolution of weighing devices throughout centuries.

Established in 1989, the museum became the national documentation center for weighing instruments in 1991, reflecting the area's manufacturing heritage since 1860.

The exhibition includes a collection of professional scales, from 19th-century iron steelyards to modern butcher shop equipment with brass decorations.

The museum opens on weekends and holidays from 10:00 to 12:30 and 15:30 to 19:00, with weekday visits available through reservation.

Visitors can experience their weight under simulated lunar and jovian gravity conditions in the Labyrinth of Phenomena section.
