Santa Giustina, Parish church in Villagrande, Auronzo di Cadore, Italy
Santa Giustina is a parish church in Villagrande with a single nave and six altars inside. The interior space is decorated with religious frescoes depicting various holy figures.
Construction of this church began in 1765 in response to the needs of the growing Villagrande community. It became the main house of worship for the parish in the Belluno-Feltre diocese.
The church displays frescoes of saints such as Barbara, Catherine, and Stephen throughout its interior spaces. These images shape the look of the rooms and help visitors understand the religious stories important to the local community.
The building underwent complete renovation between 2011 and 2013 and is now in good structural condition. Visitors are guided by the traditional facade design visible from outside.
The main altar was created in 1982 by the Cavallari Artistic Foundry in Rome based on designs by Alberto Friscia. This modern element contrasts with the historic elements of the rest of the church space.
