Villa Castelnuovo

Villa Castelnuovo is a neoclassical estate in the Piana dei Colli area with a rectangular gymnasium building supported by eight Doric columns and topped by a central dome decorated with detailed frescoes. The grounds contain multiple structures, Italian gardens with fountains and statues, and an open-air theater.

The estate was built in the 18th century as a summer residence for the Cottone family and converted into an agricultural institute in 1819 through an official decree. This transformation marked a shift from private aristocratic use to a public educational facility.
