Fabbrica del Vapore

Fabbrica del Vapore is a cultural center in Milan housed within multiple industrial buildings that contain exhibition spaces, workshops, a theater, and a cinema. The complex also provides studios and offices for creative professionals and artists.

The site was originally the Carminati-Toselli factory, where streetcars and railway vehicles were manufactured. It was transformed into a cultural center in 2011 and has since become a space for artistic activities.

The center draws young artists who exhibit and perform their work throughout the year. The spaces host changing groups exploring contemporary art in different forms.

The site is reachable by Metro Line 5 at Monumentale station or by tram line 12 from Duomo. The location on Via Procaccini is walkable from public transportation stops.

The center is known for specialized workshops where artists merge traditional manufacturing methods with modern technology. These hybrid approaches unfold within the protected factory spaces, allowing history and innovation to coexist.
