Asago, Mountain city in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan

Asago stretches across valleys and mountains in northern Hyogo Prefecture, containing dense forests, agricultural lands, and numerous residential districts scattered throughout the region.

The merger of four distinct towns - Ikuno, Wadayama, Santo, and Asago - led to the establishment of Asago City on April 1, 2005.

The Ikuno Silver Mine functions as an industrial museum, displaying mining equipment and techniques that shaped the regional development during the Edo period.

The central administration office at 213-1 Higashidani, Wadayama-cho handles municipal services with three additional branch offices located across different districts.

Takeda Castle Ruins, situated on a mountain peak at 353 meters, creates a natural fortress formation that appears to float above morning clouds.
