ラベンダーパーク多可, Botanical garden and park in Taka, Japan
Lavendar Park Taka is a botanical garden and park in Taka featuring approximately 20,000 lavender plants across its grounds. The site displays three different varieties that bloom in succession from May through July, providing color across the landscape for several months.
The garden opened in June 2008 as part of Taka Town's effort to create a natural sanctuary in the region. Its establishment aimed to preserve local plant species while creating a new public space for the community.
The garden offers regular workshops where visitors can learn traditional Japanese gardening techniques and seasonal flower arrangement methods. These classes connect practical knowledge with the natural cycles of the year and show how plants are cultivated through the seasons.
The park is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM except on Wednesdays, with parking available for 90 cars and 5 buses. Visitors should note that Wednesday is a regular closing day when planning their visit.
The different lavender varieties bloom at different times: Stoechas in early May, English in June, and Lavandin in July. This staggered flowering creates a continuously changing display of colors across the grounds over three months.
